The castle Berkheim is a Outbound hilltop castle west of the community Berkheim in the district of Biberach in Baden-Württemberg .

The former castle was located at around 605 m above sea level. NHN on the "Heidenbühl" (Haldenbühl) and 5.5 kilometers south of Erolzheim . It lies above the Iller valley . From the third century AD, the Iller was part of the Danube-Iller-Rhein-Limes , a large-scale defense system of the Roman Empire, which was created after the abandonment of the Upper German-Raetian Limes .

The castle, which was probably built in the 12th century by the Lords of Berkheim, was mentioned around 1128 and was later owned by the Rot monastery and the Ochsenhausen monastery . Nothing has been preserved from the former castle complex.
