Burghausen is a district of the municipality Wasserlosen in the district of Schweinfurt in Lower Franconia ( Bavaria ).

The localities of Wülfershausen and Schwemmelsbach (both communities Wasserlosen in the district of Schweinfurt ) and Altbessingen, Neubessingen and Schwebenried (districts of the town of Arnstein in the district of Main-Spessart ) border directly on Burghausen .

History of Burghausen

The oldest documented mention of the Villa Burghausen comes from 1316. There it is recorded that Theodor von Heseler and an illegible nobleman sold the Schönau monastery income from the large and the small tithe at the price of 73 pounds Heller. The actual settlement must have taken place around the year 700 in the course of the Frankish conquest . Events

The parish festival, the maypole erection, the Eigenheimerfest on May 1st and the fan club festival on Father's Day take place every year. The biggest annual event is the Oven Festival, which is celebrated in September.
