Burton Matthews (born August 25, 1985 in Witbank ) is a former South African ice hockey player who played his entire career with the Johannesburg Wildcats in the Gauteng Province Ice Hockey League .
Career
Burton Matthews began his career with the Krugersdorp Wildcats in the Gauteng Province Ice Hockey League , one of the regional leagues whose winners play for the South African championship, and spent his entire career with the team, which lasted until 2012, after moving to Johannesburg in Renamed Johannesburg Wildcats .
International
Matthews was in the junior division at the U18 World Championships in Division III 2001 and 2002 and Division II 2003 and the U20 title fights in 2002 and 2005 in Division III and 2003 in Division II for South Africa on the ice.
With the men's national team he played in the world championships of Division II in 2002 , 2003 , 2006 and 2009 as well as Division III in 2005 and 2011 , when the promotion to Division II was successful.
