Bydgostia Bydgoszcz (officially Regionalne Towarzystwo Wioślarskie Bydgostia Bydgoszcz , in German Regional Rowing Society Bydgostia Bydgoszcz ) is a Polish rowing club from the city of Bydgoszcz . It was founded on December 4, 1928. It has been appearing on behalf of its main sponsor Lotto for several years .

successes

For the rowing club, athletes have competed in the Olympic rowing regatta several times in the past . Robert Sycz won the lightweight - double sculls Olympic gold at the Olympic Games in Sydney in 2000 and the Olympic Games of Athens 2004 . He also competed in Atlanta in 1996 and at 14 World Rowing Championships . The club members Miłosz Bernatajtys and Bartłomiej Pawełczak were able to win the 2008 Olympic silver medal in the lightweight foursome without a helmsman . Magdalena Fularczyk-Kozłowska won a bronze medal in London in 2012 and a gold medal in the women's double scull together with Natalia Madaj in Rio de Janeiro in 2016 . In Poland, rowers from Bydgostia Bydgoszcz have won numerous national championships. In the years 1938, 1966, 1967, 1970 and 1993 to 2015 the rowing club won the Polish rowing club championship a total of 27 times. A point system is used to determine the best rowing club in a series of championship regattas and ergometer competitions over the course of a calendar year.
