The Bystraja ( Russian Бы́страя ) is a left tributary of the Siversky Donets in the southern Russian Oblast of Rostov .

The Bystraja rises east of Morozovsk . It flows in a westerly and later in a southerly direction through a flat landscape in the east of Rostov Oblast and flows after 218 km on the left into the lower reaches of the Siversky Donets. It drains an area of ​​4,180 km². The river is mainly fed by the snowmelt . In summer, the upper reaches of the Bystraja and the tributaries of the Bystraja often dry out.
