Celestin-Henri Joussard

Célestin-Henri Joussard OMI (born October 2, 1851 in Saint-Michel-de-Saint-Geoirs , France , † September 20, 1932 in McLennan , Alberta , Canada ) was a French religious and Roman Catholic coadjutor vicar of Grouard .

Life

Célestin-Henri Joussard joined the religious community of the Oblates of the Immaculate Virgin Mary and made profession on December 8, 1876 . Joussard received on 21 April 1880, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On May 11, 1909 appointed him Pope Pius X to the titular bishop of Arcadiopolis in Asia and Koadjutorvikar of Athabasca (later Grouard). The superior general of the Oblates, Archbishop Augustin Dontenwill OMI, donated him episcopal ordination on September 5 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Vicar Apostolic of Athabasca, Émile Grouard OMI, and the Bishop of Victoria , Alexander MacDonald .

Célestin-Henri Joussard resigned on April 18, 1929 as coadjutor vicar of Grouard.
