Celine Deville (born January 24, 1982 in Berck ) is a French soccer player .

Club career

Born in northern France , the goalkeeper played as a teenager at UO Albertville and from 2000 at Paris Saint-Germain . In 2002 she moved to the first division club HSC Montpellier . She remained loyal to this club for nine years and won two championship titles (2004, 2005) and three times (2006, 2007, 2009) the national cup , in which she was again in the final with the MHSC in 2011. For the 2011/12 season she switched to Olympique Lyon , where she found a strong competitor in her position in Sarah Bouhaddi . In 2013 she moved on to Juvisy FCF . In the 2017/18 season- Juvisy's women had now joined Paris FC - the 36-year-old was only number two behind Karima Benameur and had only made four appearances. She then moved to the ambitious second division AS Nancy in February 2018 .

As a national player

Since her first full international match in April 2002, Celine Deville has been part of the French national team . Her first game in a major international tournament was the game against the Netherlands in the 2009 European Championship finals in Finland . At the EM 2005 in England she was also part of the French squad , but was not used there.

National coach Bruno Bini had also appointed Deville to his squad for the 2011 World Cup . There she was used in three games, twice when she had to come on for Bérangère Sapowicz , who was sent off against Germany and injured against Sweden . With the Bleues, she was fourth in the World Cup and was then one of the team's two goalkeepers. She was part of the French Olympic squad in 2012 , but was not used in this tournament. Coach Bini also called her to the French EM squad in 2013 and used her in Sweden in one of four matches.

Under Bini's successor Philippe Bergeroo , Deville was still number two behind Sarah Bouhaddi , but also got her playing times from him. She was also part of the squad for the 2015 World Cup , without being taken into account there. In total, she made 65 full international appearances. (As of May 22, 2015)
