Cúcuta (also: Kokota ) is a town in the La Paz department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

Location in the vicinity

Cúcuta is the fourth largest town in the canton of Villa Vilaque in the district ( Bolivian : Municipio ) Pucarani in the province of Los Andes . The village is located at an altitude of 3937  m on the Bolivian Altiplano on the mountain river Río Challa Jahuira, which flows here in a south-westerly direction.

Cúcuta is located on the Bolivian plateau between the Andes mountain ranges of the Cordillera Occidental in the west and the Cordillera Central in the east.

The mean average temperature of the region is 8 ° C, the annual precipitation is about 600 mm.
