history

CIMPA was founded in 1995 from the research division of the Corporate Research Center of Aérospatiale (now Airbus Group) in France . Initially only active in France, EADS CIMPA GmbH was founded in Hamburg in 2001 with the aim of a European orientation. As an established company in the aerospace industry, EADS CIMPA GmbH became a 100% subsidiary of Airbus SAS in July 2003. From this point on, the name CIMPA GmbH / Ltd / SAS or Airbus CIMPA will be used.

The company has been part of the Sopra Steria Group since October 2015 .
