CSNY Déjà Vu is a film about the music of Neil Young and the group Crosby Stills Nash and Young and their reception in the USA after their statements about the politics of President George W. Bush . The film shows, among other things, the rejection of the Iraq war by active soldiers and veterans . Neil Young's history as a musician is linked to the protest song (initially 1970s). The film was made mainly in 2006 at various concerts on the “Freedom of Speech” tour. The audience was partly in agreement and partly irritated or even repelled by the lyrics of “their band”. The director is Bernard Shakey . Shakey is said to be a pseudonym for Neil Young. The book is by Neil Young and journalist Mike Cerre . The film was shown first at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival for independent films in Park City , Utah and later at the 58th Berlinale in Germany.

The abbreviation CSNY in the film title stands for the names of the musicians; déjà vu from French can be understood in German as in English as a term (the belief / the feeling of having already experienced something = D. v.) or literally as a description: already experienced.
