Caesar Bimmermann

Peter Franz Caesar Bimmermann (born March 3, 1821 in Eupen , Rhine Province , † July 16, 1888 in the Netherlands ) was a German-Dutch landscape painter .

Life

Bimmermann was a student of the landscape painter Barend Cornelis Koekkoek . Since the end of the 1840s he lived and worked in Kleve , later he settled in Düsseldorf . In 1871 he was naturalized as a Dutchman, living in Arnhem .

In the 1880s, Bimmermann was represented at exhibitions in Bremen and Hanover. His preferred subjects were snowy winter landscapes, often combined with hunting and animal motifs.
