Cagatay Kader (born February 25, 1997 in Düsseldorf ) is a German soccer player .

Career

Adolescence

After starting his career at the two smaller clubs SV Wersten 04 and VfB Solingen , he joined the youth team at Fortuna Düsseldorf in 2007 . In 2010 he left the club and between 2010 and 2013 he played one season each in the youth team of Bayer 04 Leverkusen , FC Schalke 04 and Rot-Weiss Essen . In 2013 he then moved to VfL Bochum, where he worked in the youth department until 2016.

When he was still in the A-youth he played in the second team of VfL Bochum in the Regionalliga West . In the 2-1 defeat against Borussia Mönchengladbach's reserve team on April 24, 2015, coach Dimitrios Grammozis came on as a substitute for Michaël Maria in the 74th minute .

FSV Frankfurt

From the A-youth of VfL Bochum , he moved to season 2016/17 for FSV Frankfurt in the 3. Liga . On July 30, 2016 he made his debut for the FSV in the 3rd division and thus his professional debut. In the 1-1 draw against Holstein Kiel he was substituted on for Shawn Maurice Barry by coach Roland Vrabec in the 77th minute .

VfR Aalen

After Kader was relegated from the third division with FSV Frankfurt , he joined league rivals VfR Aalen . The center forward signed a contract valid until 2019 on the Ostalb, but moved to Anadolu Selçukspor in Turkey after just one year .

VfB Homberg

In the summer of 2019, Kader returned to Germany and joined the newly promoted regional league VfB Homberg . With five goals, he was the top scorer at the new club after the first half of the season, and he scored another goal in the second half of the season, which was prematurely canceled due to the Covid 19 pandemic .

SV 19 Straelen

For the 2020/2021 season, Kader moved within the Regionalliga West to SV 19 Straelen .

National team

On August 26, 2016, Cagatay Kader was appointed to the squad of the U-20 national team. There he made his debut on September 1, 2016 in a friendly against Italy .
