The narrow ceiling Bock ( Callimus angulatus ) is a beetle from the family of the longhorn beetle and the subfamily Cerambycinae .
features
The beetles have body lengths between 7 and 9 mm. The beetles are metallic blue, blue-green, or green. The antennae are black or brown. The pronotum has three smooth calluses. The elytra are strongly and densely punctured.
distribution
The longhorn beetle is common in the Mediterranean region. The occurrence ranges from the Iberian Peninsula through southern Europe, North Africa and Asia Minor to the Near and Middle East (northern Iran). The species is rare in Central Europe.
Way of life
The longhorn beetles can be seen from April to June. The adults visit different umbelliferae . A life cycle lasts one to two years. The species is polyphagous . The larvae develop in various deciduous trees, including oaks and beeches , hornbeams , ash trees , hawthorns , figs, as well as zelkova and hop beeches .
