Camanongue is a small town and county in eastern Angola .
history
Under Portuguese colonial administration , the small town ( Vila ) bore the Portuguese place name Vila do Buçaco , after the historic Portuguese town of Buçaco . After Angola's independence in 1975, the place was given its current name.

Camanongue is the seat of a district of the same name ( Município ) in the province of Moxico . Around 65,000 people live in Camamongue County (2014 estimate). The 2014 population census should henceforth ensure reliable population figures.
The Camanongue district consists of only one municipality of the same name (Comuna).
