Alto Zambeze is a district in eastern Angola . It forms the border area of the triangle of the Democratic Republic of the Congo in the north, Zambia in the east, and Angola.
The name Alto Zambeze ( Portuguese for: High Zambezi) is derived from the Zambezi River that flows by here.

The county’s capital is Cazombo .
