Cameron Bolton (born November 21, 1990 in Clayton ) is an Australian snowboarder . He starts in the snowboard cross discipline .

Career

Bolton finished 39th at the 2009 Junior Snowboard World Championships in Nagano and 14th at the 2010 Junior Snowboard World Championships in Cardrona . He made his debut in the World Cup in March 2011 in Chiesa in Valmalenco , which he finished in 46th place. At the Snowboard World Championships in 2013 in Stoneham , he finished 41st and in March 2013 in Sierra Nevada reached his first top ten finish in the World Cup with tenth place. The following year he came in 11th place in his first Olympic participation in Sochi . At the 2015 Snowboard World Championships on Kreischberg , he took 15th place and at the Snowboard World Championships 2017 in Sierra Nevada, he came 27th. He finished tenth at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang . In the 2018/19 season he clinched his first World Cup victory on Feldberg and came third in Veysonnaz . At the season highlight, the 2019 Snowboard World Championships in Park City , he finished 21st. He finished the season in fifth place in the Snowboard Cross World Cup. At the beginning of the 2019/20 season, he finished second at the World Cup in Montafon .

Bolton has participated in 48 World Cup races so far, placing eight times in the top ten. He has also been competing in the Australia New Zealand Cup since 2009. So far, he has achieved 15 podium finishes, including three wins and won the overall standings in 2019. (Status: end of season 2019/20)
