Camilla Zach-Dorn
Camilla Zach-Dorn , née Camilla Zach (born March 13, 1859 in Braunschweig , † 1951 ) was a German painter .
Education and life
From 1875 to 1884 Zach-Dorn studied at the Royal Art School in Stuttgart (now the State Academy of Fine Arts Stuttgart ). Her teachers were Professors Carl von Häberlin and Claudius Schraudolph the Younger . The art historian Anne-Kathrin Herber, who deals in her dissertation with the graduates of the Stuttgart Academy, among others, mentions Zach-Dorn as one of the few students who are still available today in terms of sources.
After completing her studies, she worked in Stuttgart, where there is evidence that she lived in Neckarstrasse 7 in 1903.

Zach-Dorn mainly worked as a portrait and animal painter, but also created numerous genre paintings. Her work is influenced by naturalism . Some of their animal pictures served as a template for postcards and thus achieved a high level of awareness. A dog portrait (the so-called Königspitzer ), which appeared as a postcard for the royal couple's wedding anniversary in 1911, was particularly famous. Among other things, she made portraits of
