Canto a las Américas (German: I will sing to the Americas ) is a Mexican film from the year 1943. Director of this musical film was Ramón Pereda . The script was written by Francisco Benítez , José Díaz Morales and Ramón Pérez Peláez .

It tells the story of Julián, who lends the actor Pedro 100,000 pesos because he is in love with his daughter Rosaura. However, this prefers the ventriloquist Paco. Julian, who claims to be rich, cannot really afford the generosity. In truth, he's the cashier at a bank who stole the money. As a result of this situation, Julian decides to commit suicide. Rosaura learns of this emergency and, together with Paco, puts together the musical show Canto a las Américas to save Julian. The show is a financial success and thus achieves its goal. During the rescue operation, Rosaura falls in love with Julián, which is how his original love is returned at the end of the film.

The film Canto a las Américas was produced by the Ferrándiz production company together with Pereda. It premiered in Mexico on February 18, 1943. Canto a las Américas probably had some color sequences when it was first released , although most of the film was shot in black and white .
