Kiko Mendive

Cecilio Francisco Mendive Pereira , called Kiko Mendive (born November 22, 1919 in Havana , † April 5, 2000 in Caracas ), was a Cuban actor, choreographer, dancer and singer.

Mendive began his career in 1939 as a singer in the Sexteto Caribe in Havana, later he joined the group Los jóvenes de la Crema . In 1940 he went to Mexico with the Batamú group . There he became known under the name Kiko and performed with the orchestras of Rafael Hernández , Silvestre Méndez , Ismael Díaz , Homero Jiménez and Dámaso Pérez Prado , among others .
