Cape Agulhas is a municipality in the Overberg District , Western Cape Province in South Africa . It is the southernmost community on the African mainland. In 2011 the population was 33,038 on a total area of 2,841 km². The seat of the municipal administration is Bredasdorp .
The southernmost point of the municipality is Cape Agulhas , which is also the southernmost point of Africa.

In 2011 the community had 33,038 inhabitants. 65.6% of them were colored , 21.6% white and 11.5% black.
83.3 % of the speakers were Afrikaans, 5.9% IsiXhosa and 5.5% English.
