Carano (German outdated: Kaldrein ) is a fraction of the Italian municipality ( comune ) Ville di Fiemme in the province of Trento , region of Trentino-South Tyrol .

geography

The place is located about 34.5 kilometers northeast of Trento on the orographic right side of the Fiemme Valley at 1086  m slm above the Avisio river

history

Carano was an independent municipality until 2019 and merged with the neighboring municipalities of Daiano and Varena on January 1, 2020 to form the new municipality of Ville di Fiemme. The districts of Aguai, Calvello, Cela, Solaiolo and Veronza also belonged to the former municipality of Carano.
