Varena (German outdated: Warren ) is a fraction of the Italian municipality ( comune ) Ville di Fiemme in the province of Trento , region of Trentino-Alto Adige .
geography
The place is located about 36.5 kilometers northeast of Trento on the orographic right side of the Fiemme Valley at 1180 m slm on the southern foothills of the Schwarzhorn .
history
Varena was an independent municipality until 2019 and merged with the neighboring municipalities of Carano and Daiano on January 1, 2020 to form the new municipality of Ville di Fiemme.

The state road 620 del Passo del Lavazè leads through the village from Ponte Nova over the Lavazèjoch ( 1808 m slm ) to Cavalese .
