Carl-Ludwig Wolff

Carl-Ludwig Wolff (born October 11, 1933 in Guben in Niederlausitz / Mark Brandenburg ) is a German journalist . He is also known under the name Carlo W.

Act

He was born the second of six children to a doctor couple and grew up in Neuzelle . Until he escaped from the Soviet troops to Großräschen / Senftenberg, he attended the Friedrichs-Gymnasium in Frankfurt (Oder) . After the war he studied in Berlin (Municipal Conservatory, Max Reinhardt School ) and Hanover (University of Music and Theater). He completed several years at the theater in Berlin, Hanover, Hildesheim and Braunschweig.

After a serious car accident, he became a speaker, production manager, author , presenter , editor and reporter from 1959 . His professional stations were the North German radio , the Germany radio and the WDR television .

Carl-Ludwig Wolff gained notoriety from 1965 when he hosted the Schlagerderby and Current Turntable programs for 13 years on Deutschlandfunk . The broadcast became the most listened to radio broadcast.

He has lived in Cologne since 1999 and is now an author and photographer. In his contemporary historical novel Das Derby - Victory, Place ... or Fall? from 2004 he impressively combines politics and contemporary history with family history and personal experience.
