Carl Burchard

Carl Burchard (born February 18, 1815 in Kieselkehmen , East Prussia , † July 5, 1903 in Königsberg i. Pr. ) Was a German landowner, member of parliament and administrative lawyer in Prussia.

Life

Burchard studied law at the Albertus University in Königsberg . In the winter semester 1833/34 he was active in the Corpsland team Littuania . He was sitting on the Krauleidzen family estate in the Gumbinnen district . As a government trainee and district deputy, he was appointed district administrator in the Gumbinnen district on January 18, 1841 . After 48 years he was followed by his son Franz Burchard on October 1, 1889.

In 1850, Burchard belonged to the Volkshaus of the Erfurt Union Parliament . He was a member of the 4th electoral district of the province of Prussia (Gumbinnen, Insterburg, Stallupönen) and belonged to the station party faction. 1850-1852 and 1855-1858 he sat for the constituency Gumbinnen 4 in the Second Chamber of the Prussian Landtag and in the Prussian House of Representatives . From 1882 to 1893 he represented the constituency of Gumbinnen 3 (Gumbinnen, Insterburg) in the Prussian House of Representatives and belonged to the faction of the Conservative Party .
