Carl Christian von Schlotheim (born August 6, 1739 in Uthleben ; † June 10, 1804 there ) was a German princely-Schwarzburg official governor and manor owner.

Life

He came from the Thuringian noble family von Schlotheim and last owned three manors, one in Uthleben and two in Auleben . After his private school education financed by his parents, Carl Christian von Schlotheim entered the service of his sovereign, the Prince of Schwarzburg-Sondershausen . In addition, he was also subordinate to the Counts of Stolberg, as the Heringen office , in which his goods were located, was administered jointly by the Princes of Schwarzburg and the Counts of Stolberg until 1815. In 1766 Carl Christian von Schlotheim was appointed governor.

With the death of Lieutenant Friedrich August von Schlotheim, his Schlotheim'sches and half of the Rosenau'schen Gut zu Auleben fell to him. However, he had to pay off the co-heirs and therefore take out a loan of 10,000 thalers, which was very high for the time, for which he asked his sovereign, the Prince of Schwarzburg-Sondershausen in Frankenhausen, for a consensus. He used his two manors in Auleben as a pledge.
