Life
Jutz was born as the son of the animal painter Carl Jutz the Elder and his wife Sybilla Karolina, b. Adloff, the daughter of the landscape painter Carl Adloff , was born in Düsseldorf. There he grew up in a house in whose garden poultry were kept for his father's animal painting . He began studying painting at the Grand Ducal Baden Art School in Karlsruhe under Gustav Schönleber and continued at the Düsseldorf Art Academy , where he was a master student of Eugen Dücker . Jutz went on extensive study trips, including to Transylvania , whose motifs he captured in watercolor and oil. Many of his pictures show landscapes of the Eifel . He was regularly represented at international, national and Düsseldorf art exhibitions. He served as the second chairman of the Düsseldorf association for the organization of art exhibitions . He also belonged to the Association of Düsseldorf Artists for Mutual Support and Help . Together with Hans Deiker , Theodor Groll , Emil Schultz-Riga and others, Jutz founded the November Group in Düsseldorf in 1904 . Like his father, Jutz was also a member of the Malkasten artists' association . A photo from 1910 shows Jutz with an easel in front of a winter backdrop. Jutz was married to Elisabeth Krummel (1878-1917), with whom he had two sons and a daughter.
