Carl Ford III (* 8. October 1980 in Monroe , Michigan ) is a former American American football - and arena football poker players. He played for several seasons as the wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL).

college

Ford played college football at the University of Toledo from 1999 to 2002 . In his last season, he was able to catch 79 passes for 1,062 yards , making it the first Rockets player to break the 1,000-yard mark.

NFL

Ford was selected as the 256th player in the seventh round of the 2003 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers . Before the start of the season he injured his knee and was therefore out of the season. In 2004 the Chicago Bears signed him for their Practice Squad , in 2005 he was promoted to the main squad. He played ten games for the Bears. After he was released from the Bears, the Philadelphia Eagles signed him for the remaining six weeks of the 2005 season.

AFL

In early November 2006, the Chicago Rush signed him from the Arena Football League (AFL). On April 5, 2007, he was promoted to the main squad, but two weeks later placed on the Injured Reserve List . He was released on May 22, 2007.
