Carl Friedrich Reichel
Carl Friedrich Reichel (* 1800 ; † September 27, 1860 in Dresden ) was a pharmacist in Hohenstein-Ernstthal (Mohren Pharmacy, around 1834) and Chemnitz .
He trained as a pharmacist as a laboratory assistant with the well-known Hamburg pharmacist Christoph Christian Ulrich Noodt (1781–1867).
He created a herbarium of approx. 7000 plants, which is now kept in the natural history cabinet in Waldenburg. In addition to the herbarium, there is also a Reichel mineral collection. Further collector's items from Reichel were bequeathed to the Herbarium Dresdense and Museum für Naturkunde in Görlitz . Reichel was Dr. phil. and moved to Dresden in his later career.
