Carl Friedrich von Seydewitz

Carl Friedrich von Seydewitz (born February 3, 1826 in Berlin ; † September 5, 1897 in Potsdam ) was a lawyer and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Seydewitz studied law and in 1852 went to Bitterfeld as a court assistant , where he was later also a district judge. In the same position he worked in Wittenberg from 1856 and in Stettin from 1861 . In 1864 he became a city judge in Berlin and in 1870 an appellate judge in Frankfurt an der Oder . In 1884 he was appointed president of the district court in Greifswald and from 1888 to 1895 he took over this office in Potsdam.

Between 1867 and 1870 and from 1879 to 1882 he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives , from 1867 to 1870 member of the Reichstag of the North German Confederation and from 1880 to 1881 of the German Reichstag for the German Conservative Party and the constituency of Merseburg 3 (Bitterfeld).
