Carl Gustaf Taube von Odenkat

Carl Gustaf Count Taube von Odenkat (born April 12, 1867 in Stockholm , † November 7, 1941 in Vassända-Naglum , Älvsborgs län Sweden ) was a Swedish count , land surveyor and trustee. He came from the German-Swedish-Baltic noble family of the " von Taube ".

Career

Carl Gustav Taube joined the Västgötadals Infantry Regiment as a volunteer and was given the rank of sergeant in 1888 . He then attended the Karlberg War School until July 1889. This was followed by a period of service as a chamber page with the Swedish Queen Sophia until October 1889 . In 1889 he passed his high school diploma and was promoted to lieutenant in November . From November 1889 he worked as a land surveyor, studied land surveying and in 1894 took his engineering exam for land surveying. On March 5, 1894 he was promoted to lieutenant and took over the post of deputy head of the surveying commission of the province of Älvsborgs . In 1901 he took leave from active military service and entered a reserve regiment one in which he became in 1907 the reserve Major was promoted. In 1909 he was appointed head of the surveying commission for the province of Älvsborg, which he held until March 24, 1932. In 1926 he was awarded the Knight of the Wasa Order for his services . From 1932 he was family entrant and trustee of the " Trust Foundation for the Expansion of the Port of Stockholm".

Carl Gustaf's father was Gustaf Diedrich (Gösta) Count Taube von Odenkat (1823–1887), who was married to Emilie Maria Lindquist for the second time. Carl Gustaf married Hedda Augusta Vendela Marianne von Schwerin (* 1875), with whom he had the following descendants: Edvard Filip Graf Taube (1916–2006), Ebba Marianne Taube (* 1901) and Carl Friedrich Berent Hereditary Count Taube von Odenkat (1909–1993 ).
