Carl Gustav Zipser

Carl Gustav Zipser (also Karl Gustav Zipser ; born August 22, 1822 in Bielitz , Austrian Silesia , Austrian Empire , † July 10, 1896 in Gelsendorf , Austria-Hungary ) was a Lutheran pastor and superintendent in Galicia .

Life

Carl Gustav Zipser attended the state high school in Teschen . He then studied Protestant theology in Vienna for four years. He taught as a teacher in Gumpendorf and then studied biology.

In 1855 he became pastor in Zaleszczyki . In 1861 he took over the pastor's position in Gelsendorf and became a senior in Central Galicia . In 1886 he was elected superintendent for Galicia of the Evangelical Church AB in Austria .

During his tenure, he worked to ensure that the German Protestant schools were given a common organization and were not converted into public institutions.

Carl Gustav Zipser was married to Maria Friederike Gloxin. They had five children:

  • Louise Karoline Folwarczny (Folwartschny) (* 1870)
  • Maria Helene Friederike Zipser (* 1877)

and another three children.
