Carl Reinhold Haeser (born July 3, 1871 in Rippien , † July 26, 1939 in Munich ) was a German painter .

Life

Carl Haeser was born in Rippien in 1871 as the third child of the Haeser family. His father was a cigar manufacturer and trader. Carl Haeser studied at the Dresden Art Academy a . a. with Carl Bantzer and Gotthardt Kuehl . Bantzer and Kühl pioneered impressionism in Dresden and were the driving force behind the Dresden Association of Visual Artists , the first of the Dresden secession movements .

Study trips took Carl Haeser to Dalmatia and Italy . For a while he taught at the Dresden Academy. Carl Haeser took part in the first exhibition of the Dresden Artists' Association in 1910 in the rooms of the Saxon Art Association on Brühl's Terrace and he was a member of the Dresden artist group in 1913 around Johann Walter-Kurau .
