Carl Loveday
Carl W. Loveday (March 19, 1921 - September 4, 2001 ) was an American badminton player . His last place of residence was El Cajon , California.
Career
Carl Loveday was 1949 stood with the American team in the Thomas Cup finals, but lost in the semi-finals against the eventual winner Malaya. Three years later, the American men's team even made it to the finals, but lost there again to Malaya and became vice world champion. At the US badminton championships in 1940 he won bronze in singles, and silver in 1941 and 1942. In 1951 he was second again in doubles. In 1972 he was inducted into the US Badminton Hall of Fame .
