El Cajon is a city in San Diego County in the US state of California . It has 97,207 inhabitants (as of 2010). The metropolitan area is 37.7 km² and is located off Interstate 8 and California State Route 67 .

The head office of the renowned guitar maker Taylor Guitars is located in El Cajon .
