Carl Ludwig Johann Hermann (called Jeannot ) Riedesel Freiherr zu Eisenbach (born January 20, 1782 in Vienna ; † October 14, 1842 in Lauterbach ) was a baron of the Riedesel family , Grand Ducal Hessian Chamberlain and Vice President of the First Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

His parents were the diplomat and writer Johann Hermann Riedesel zu Eisenbach (1740–1784) and his wife Charlotte Marianne von Beeren († 1817).

Jeannot Riedesel belonged to the First Chamber of the Estates from its foundation in 1820 until his death in 1842, after Carl Philipp Ferdinand Hermann Riedesel zu Eisenbach , Ludwig Georg Friedrich Hermann Carl Riedesel zu Eisenbach and August Riedesel zu Eisenbach had renounced. In 1820/21, 1826/27 and from 1838 to 1841 he was the second President of the Chamber.

Marriage and offspring

He was married to Karoline Wilhelmine, née von Steube. The marriage resulted in three sons Georg (1812–1881), Giesebert (1813–1885) and Volprecht Hermann Gustav August Erdmann (1817–1877) as well as the daughter Wilhelmine Caroline Sophie Erdmuthe (1821–1902), married to the later district president of Saxony -Meiningen Friedrich Krafft , outstanding ; the two first-born also became landlords and Hessian members of parliament.
