Carl von Scapinelli
Carl Graf Scapinelli von Leguigno (born April 17, 1876 in Vienna , † November 11, 1959 in Munich ) was an Austro-German author and dramaturge .
Life
Scapinelli was an Austro-Hungarian officer and moved to Munich as a freelance writer in 1900. Carl von Scapinelli belonged to the circle of Die Elf Scharfrichter and was an employee of the Simplicissimus and the youth (magazine) . During the First World War he was a reporter for the Münchner Neuesten Nachrichten with the kuk Kaiserjäger on the Austrian front, where he was seriously wounded.
He became chief dramaturge at Münchener LichtspielKunst GmbH ( Bavaria Film ). In his novels and short stories he varied the themes of Tyrol, Vienna and Austria. Carl von Scapinelli is buried in the Pasing cemetery , Haidelweg at Wall West 49. A street is named after him in the Pasing district of Munich.
