Carl von Twickel

Baron Carl von Twickel (born April 9, 1793 in Havixbeck , † June 27, 1867 in Warendorf ) was a Prussian landowner and district administrator in the Warendorf district .

Life

Carl von Twickel came from the Westphalian nobility of Twickel . His parents were Clemens August von Twickel and Franziska Ferdinande Maria von Rump. He obtained his school-leaving certificate at the Münster high school and then studied law and cameralia at the universities of Heidelberg and Göttingen . In 1820 he passed the auscultator exam with "good". On January 14, 1828, he was examined as a trainee lawyer at the Münster Higher Regional Court, so that on July 9, 1828 he was appointed a trainee lawyer. A short time later, on December 4, 1828, he became a government trainee lawyer at the Münster district government . The district council of the Warendorf district elected him on September 18, 1832 as the first candidate for the office of district administrator. He passed his examination for district administrator on February 9, 1833 with "sufficient". Thereupon he received on March 17, 1833 his definitive appointment as district administrator of the Warendorf district. On May 23, 1866, he was dismissed from civil service at his own request for reasons of age.
