Carlo Grippo
Carlo Grippo (born January 18, 1955 in Rome ) is a former Italian middle -distance runner who specialized in the 800-meter distance .
At the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal, he finished eighth.
In 1978 he was eliminated from the European Athletics Championships in Prague in the preliminary stages, and in 1979 he was fourth at the European Athletics Indoor Championships in Vienna .
At the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow he reached the semifinals, and at the World Cup in Athletics in Rome in 1981 he was seventh.
He was six times Italian champion over 800 m (1974, 1976, 1978-1981) and once over 1500 m (1980). In the hall he won the national title over 800 m twice (1977, 1979) and once over 1500 m (1974).
