Carlo Romeo (born February 7, 1962 in Bozen ) is an Italian historian, translator and literary critic from Bozen, South Tyrol .

The scientific work focus of Romeo, who works professionally as a high school teacher, is in the area of ​​the recent history of South Tyrol. He is editor of the cultural magazine Il Cristallo , correspondent of the historical journal Geschichte und Region / Storia e regione and was involved in the design of several exhibitions.

As part of the creation of joint textbooks for the history lessons of all three South Tyrolean language groups, Romeo and Erika Kustatscher were commissioned to compile the first volume in the series Transitions and Perspectives , which appeared in 2010 and covers the period up to the late Middle Ages. He was also involved in the writing of the second volume, which covers the history of South Tyrol up to the end of the First World War.
