Carlos Abadie

Carlos Abadie (* around 1970 ) is an American jazz musician ( trumpet ) of modern jazz who is also active as a music producer .

Carlos Abadie, who comes from Miami , gained his first experience as a professional musician in Florida with Melton Mustafa and Ira Sullivan . In 1993 he finally moved to New York City, where he soon worked in the local music scene. a. in the Jason Lindner Big Band. In the following years Abadie played with jazz musicians such as Junior Mance , Louis Hayes , Illinois Jacquet , Charlie Persip , Billy Hart , Odean Pope , Jimmy Heath , Clark Terry , Ray Santos , Bobby Sanabria , Manny Oquendo and Andy Gonzalez , and other Afro-Cuban musicians and Puerto Rican music such as Nicky Marrero, Jimmy Delgado, Jerry Gonzalez , Steve Berrios , Charlie Santiago, Pedrito Martinez, Oscar Hernandez and Nelson Gonzalez. In 2007 he founded his own quintet, with whom he performed in New York City and the Tri-state area (New York, New Jersey, Connecticut). In addition, Abadie also worked as a music producer from 2013, his first work was Andy Gonzalez's album Entre Colegas , which received a Grammy nomination in 2016 and which Abadie himself performed as a soloist. Around 2011 his debut album Immersed in the Quest, Vol. 1 - Introducing the Carlos Abadie Quintet (Pursuance) was created, on which Joe Sucato (tenor saxophone), Jon Lefcoski (piano), Jason Stewart (bass) and Luca Santaniello (drums) played. In the field of jazz he was involved in four recording sessions between 2003 and 2013.
