Carlos Amarilla

Carlos Arecio Amarilla Demarqui (born October 26, 1970 ) is a Paraguayan football referee .

He has been internationally active since 1997. He was used in several FIFA tournaments, such as the 2001 U20 World Cup in Argentina, the Confederations Cup in 2003 and 2005 and the 2006 World Cup in Germany. Amarilla also whistled games in Peru at the Copa América 2004 and in numerous qualifying games in the South American zone.

Amarilla was also to be used as a referee at the 2010 World Cup , but missed participation after his assistants failed a fitness test in May 2010. Martín Vázquez was nominated for Amarilla .
