Carlos Benavidez , full name Carlos Nahuel Benavidez Protesoni , (born March 30, 1998 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

The 1.85 meter tall midfielder Benavidez has been a member of Defensor Sporting's youth department since 2011 . He made his debut for the club's professional team on April 10, 2016 in the Primera División when he was substituted on by coach Eduardo Acevedo on the 8th matchday of Clausura in the 2: 4 home defeat against Nacional Montevideo in the 68th minute for Lucas Tamareo . He played a total of five top division games (no goal) in the 2015/16 season. During the 2016 season he was used ten times (no goal) in the league.
