Carlos Mario Carbonero Mancilla (born July 25, 1990 in Bogotá ) is a Colombian football player who is under contract with the Argentine club CA River Plate .
Career
society
Carlos Carbonero played at smaller clubs in the Colombian capital Bogotá and then went to the Compensar football school, which was called Academia FC from 2005 . There he also played for two years in the second division team . In 2010, Atlético Huila from Neiva discovered him and brought him to his first division team. In the Categoría Primera A , he played 41 games in his first year at the age of 20 and scored nine goals. Then the reigning champion Once Caldas brought him into his team. Although he introduced himself successfully there, he was given up after six months when an offer from Estudiantes de La Plata from the Primera División of Argentina was presented.
In the 2011 Apertura , the offensive right winger only made ten mostly shorter missions and remained without a goal, so that he went to league rivals Arsenal de Sarandí at the turn of the year . There he was a regular player from the start and won the championship in the Clausura 2012 with the team. It was the first national title in the club's history. Another year he stayed with the club from the greater Buenos Aires area and won the Copa Argentina , the Argentine cup competition , with the team .
Thereupon the Argentine record champions CA River Plate from Buenos Aires noticed him and signed him in the summer of 2013. In the first half-season things didn’t go so well for him, but he won a regular place in the team. In the Torneo Final , the second round tournament of the 2013/14 season, he then scored seven goals in 18 games and provided five assists and thus had a large share in winning River Plate's 36th league title.
National team
Carlos Carbonero already played in the U-15 selection at the South American Championship and in the U-20 for his country. In 2011 he was also tested once in the senior team . He was a substitute for the friendly game in Ecuador on March 26th. After that, it was no longer taken into account. When Aldo Leão Ramírez had to cancel his participation in the 2014 World Cup due to a knee injury , Carbonero was nominated for the tournament in Brazil by coach José Pekerman to complete the 23-man squad from Colombia. In the third round match against the Japanese national team (4-1) he was substituted on for Juan Cuadrado in the second half .
