Carlos Láscarez (born April 17, 1931 in San José , † February 19, 2014 in Toluca de Lerdo ), also known by the nickname El Chino (dt. The boy ) because of his boyish appearance , was a Costa Rican soccer player on the position of a striker .

career

Láscarez began his career in 1950 at CD Saprissa and was part of the squad in 1952 and 1953, which won the first two championship titles of the current record champions of the Costa Rican football championship.

In 1953 he moved to Mexico , where he was initially under contract with Deportivo Toluca FC . With the Diablos Rojos , Láscarez won the Mexican Cup competition in the 1955/56 season and scored the opening goal to make it 1-0 in the 2-1 final win against CD Irapuato .

In 1957 he moved to the first division promoted Atlético Morelia , where he ended his sporting career in 1965.

He later coached the soccer teams Potros de la UAEM and Las Abejas, based in his adopted city of Toluca .
