Carlos Augusto Ochoa Mendoza (born March 5, 1978 in Apatzingán de la Constitución , Michoacán ) is a retired Mexican football player on the position of a striker .

career

Ochoa began his professional career at CF Cuautitlán , for whom he played in the second-rate Primera División 'A' in the 1998/99 season . In the following season 1999/00 Ochoa was at Club Necaxa under contract, in which he could not prevail and only came to a total of four league games in the top Mexican league. He then moved to the UANL Tigres , where he made the breakthrough and matured to become a national player. His greatest sporting success was winning the Mexican football championship in the Clausura 2012 with Club Santos Laguna .

For the Mexican national soccer team Ochoa was used in the CONCACAF Gold Cup 2002 and in some qualifying games for the 2010 World Cup .
