Carlos Trasante , full name: José Carlos Trasante Martínez , (born September 7, 1953 in Progreso ) is a former Uruguayan football player and coach.
Player career
society
The 1.80 meter tall defensive player Trasante first played in Montevideo for Racing , where he made his debut in 1970. In 1974 he went to Spain. There he has recorded three seasons for the Spanish second division club Rayo Vallecano . With the club he rose at the end of this career phase in the Primera División. In the following two seasons he was under contract with Deportivo Xerez in the Segunda B. In 1979 he moved to FC Algeciras , which also played in the Segunda División . In his first season for the nearby Gibraltar- based club, he completed 36 missions and scored one goal. Two more seasons followed in Algeciras . After that there is a phase at Almansa for him . From the 1982/83 season up to and including the 1987/88 round he was then part of the squad of the second division club FC Cartagena . Before he went to this club, he had turned down a present offer from his former club Xerez in 1982. For Cartagena FC, in whose ranks he was voted the best Ibero-American player in the second division, 181 games and six goals scored are played for Trasante. He then ended his playing career, in which he also acted as team captain at all of his clubs.
National team
Trasante was part of the Uruguayan national junior team , which took part in the 1971 South American Junior Championship in Paraguay and finished second. During the tournament he was used by coach Rodolfo Zamora five times (no goal).

Coaching
After his active career, Trasante worked as a coach in Peru (from 1993 with Manucci in the Primera División ) and in Spain, for example, at the low-class clubs Cartagonova, Serrallo, Relesa Las Palas, Cartagena FC and Mazarrón . In the 2007/08 season he coached the third division Relesa Las Palas . In 2010 he was in charge of training at FC Pinatar in the Preferente .
Private
Trasante is married with two children and a granddaughter.
