Carol Bove

Carol Bove (* 1971 in Geneva ) is an American sculptor and installation artist .

life and work

Carol Bove was born in Geneva to American parents. She grew up in Berkeley and studied at the Steinhardt School of Culture, Education and Human Development at New York University until 2000 . She has been represented by Galerie David Zwirner since 2011 .

She works with a wide variety of materials. Well-known installations are Coral Sculpture (2008), The Foamy Saliva of a Horse (2011), Vague Pure Affection (2012) and Heraclitus (2014). In 2016, Bove began creating large-format, conceptual assemblages out of steel.
