Carolin Schuhler

Carolin Schuhler (* 1965 ) is a German journalist, non-fiction author and lecturer . She was editor-in-chief of Cosmopolitan magazine and publisher and editor-in-chief at Vision Media .

Schuhler completed her journalistic training from 1985 to 1987 at the German School of Journalism in Munich. Among other things, she worked in the development department and as editor of the Süddeutsche Zeitung Magazin and the online magazine Jetzt des Zeitungsverlag as well as the editor of the women's magazine Elle . From 1997 she worked for Condé Nast Verlag and in 1997 became text editor for the German edition of the women's magazine Vogue .

From 2005 to the end of 2009 she was deputy editor-in-chief of Cosmopolitan . In January 2010 she moved to Vision Media as “overall editor-in-chief” and in December 2010 she became editor. At the end of July 2011 she left the Munich magazine publisher. She returned to Cosmopolitan and succeeded Petra Winter as editor-in-chief of the magazine. In February 2013 she was replaced by Kerstin Weng .

Since leaving Cosmopolitan , Schuhler has been working as a freelance journalist, including for the women's magazine Donna and ADAC Motorwelt . She also works as a lecturer. She teaches fashion journalism at the Mode & Design Academy and teaches at the German Press Academy and the German School of Journalism .
