Caroline Cellier
Caroline Cellier (born August 7, 1945 in Montpellier , † December 15, 2020 in Paris ) was a French actress .
Life
She lived in Paris from 1953 and took acting lessons from René Simon. She made her debut on a Paris stage in 1963 with On ne peut jamais dire . That same year she also had her first role in television.
She played in the film for the first time in 1965. The cultivated, doe-eyed blonde became famous in 1968 through Claude Lelouch's Life, Love, Death . Claude Chabrol then gave her the female lead in The Beast Must Die , and Édouard Molinaro hired her for his films Tender Desires and Die Filzlaus , where she played a cool, detached wife.
Her later roles include Henri Verneuil's Thousand Billion Dollar , Chabrol's Chicken in Vinegar , the comedy The Zebra, and Lelouch's Men and Women - The Instructions for Use .
Caroline Cellier was married to the actor, writer and director Jean Poiret until his death in 1992.
