At the Volkswagen Cup in the same year she lost to Ariel Hsing after leading the set 2-0.

Further appearances followed in 2013 when she won bronze at the Spanish Open. She also took part in the World Cup in Paris , but retired as an outsider in the qualification. In 2014, Kumahara was the first ever player to qualify for the World Cup , but failed in the group stage after defeats against Germany's Wu Jiaduo and Lily Zhang .

At the Latin American Championships, she won bronze in the individual and bronze with the team. In 2015 she took part in the World Cup again and met Petrissa Solja , who later came third. The Brazilian finished the tournament again with defeats in qualification. At the Latin America Cup and the Panamerican Games, she came third in the individual.
