Caroline Kumahara
Caroline Aiko Kumahara (born June 27, 1995 in São Paulo ) is a Brazilian table tennis player . She took part in the Olympic Games in 2012 .

Overview
Kumahara appeared internationally for the first time in 2012 and won the gold medal at the Intercontinental Cup. Because of her good performance, she was nominated for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , where she met Yasmin Hassan Farah in the qualifying round . She was able to put them clearly in their place with 4-0, twice she even stayed without losing points. In the following tournament, however, she had to admit defeat to Cornelia Molnar . At the Volkswagen Cup in the same year she lost to Ariel Hsing after leading the set 2-0.
Further appearances followed in 2013 when she won bronze at the Spanish Open. She also took part in the World Cup in Paris , but retired as an outsider in the qualification. In 2014, Kumahara was the first ever player to qualify for the World Cup , but failed in the group stage after defeats against Germany's Wu Jiaduo and Lily Zhang .
At the Latin American Championships, she won bronze in the individual and bronze with the team. In 2015 she took part in the World Cup again and met Petrissa Solja , who later came third. The Brazilian finished the tournament again with defeats in qualification. At the Latin America Cup and the Panamerican Games, she came third in the individual. In 2016 she again won the title at the Latin American Championship and then became less and less apparent.
